1. How do you set up my Call Handling Service & Answering Services?
Step 1. One Global Office provides you with a FREE & unique Telephone Number (DDI Number)
Step 2. You instruct us how to handle your calls: How to answer incoming call; What information to give out to prospects & clients; When to “patch” calls (put calls through) to you and when to take a message;
Step 3. You provide us with telephone numbers and email addresses of everyone in your organization who will receive calls or messages. You can either advertise this as your main number, or divert your existing telephone number to line to it.
Step 4. We then enter all this information into our call centre software.

2. What happens when someone then calls my number?
When a client or prospect calls your number it is routed to your dedicated, small team of PA’s in our UK Call Centre who then answer the call in your business name. Our computer system automatically pops your company information onto the screen of person who answers your incoming call.
One of the dedicated PA’s will then determine the nature and the purpose of the call and decide how to deal with the call, again guided by your instructions and preferences. The PA will then do one of the following:
- Take a message and send the message by email, SMS/Text or Fax. Email can be sent to multiple addresses.
- Call you and seamlessly put the call through, so you can speak with the caller directly. This works exactly like a switchboard of a big company.
- Provide information to the caller e.g., information about your business, product or event.
- Take a booking on your behalf (One Global Booking & Diary Service)
- Book an appointment (Ask about One Global’s diary service)
- Take orders and process credit card transaction on your behalf (You will need a merchant account and either a Virtual Terminal or EPDQ)
Your caller will remain completely unaware that the call is being answered anywhere other than at your office. This will leave all your callers with a very positive, professional impression of your business.

Yes. You can either divert all your calls to us, calls that are unanswered after 15 seconds, or calls made when your line(s) are engaged. You can divert and un-divert calls as many times as you wish during the day.

You can use any of the following numbers for your business:
- You can use the DDI call centre number that we give you FREE as part of our call handling service. The number starts with 01638 because our call centre is based near Cambridge in the UK.
- Your current telephone number – simply divert your current number to the DDI number we give you.
- You can use a Virtual, Non-Geographical Number that you direct to your DDI Number. Non-Geographical Numbers start with 0800, 0844, 0870 etc. Using these numbers are being used by young, growing and big, blue chip companies like DELL, Barclays etc. and have become standard practice in the UK.
- A new kind of Virtual number that has recently become available is a Geographical Number. Geographical Numbers can, for example allow you to get a London Number starting with 0207, even if you are based in another location in the UK (or abroad). You can then divert or redirect this number to the call centre or any other number in the UK.
7. What are your opening hours?
We appreciate that every company operates differently which is why we have made our services as flexible as possible. You can have the One Global Office Team manage your calls from;
- 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
...or extended to:
- 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday AND

You have three options:
- Calls will be automatically diverted to your FREE voicemail box. You can personalize the greeting for your company and change it as often as you require.
- You can upgrade to a 24 hour service. Call us to set this up.
- You can redirect calls back to your office number and answer them in person.
9. How do I receive my messages?
You can choose any one or a combination of the following options:
- By email - Most popular!
By text message – Second most popular option. - By Fax – hardly used
- By us calling you
Each email message will include all the previous messages for that day.
10. I don't have an office and I don't want my callers to know?

16. Should I let you know if I forward my phone for some reason during business hours?
No you can simply divert whenever you want.
